Soft Target Protection Analysis Using Pedestrian Simulation
Tomas Apeltauer - Recognity s.r.o.
Abstract
The paper is focused on the risk analysis of the main railway junction in the Czech Republic using the micro simulation pedestrian model for the soft targets protection issues. We have analyzed the effects of specific scenarios that reproduce an attack by an attacker, such as the presence of an active shooter or the placement of an explosive device in an object. The result is a quantitative risk analysis that shows the contracting authority the way to concrete measures. In this paper we will present specific experience with automation of running a large number of simulations and their statistical evaluation in connection of Pathfinder and R statistical software.
